Customer Product Design Assistance
Our engineering staff is happy to assist customers in their design efforts.
Our engineers can offer input on manufacturing considerations,
material selection, selection of plating and other
secondary operations, assembly automation features, and a variety of value-added
processes such as in-die assembly or tapping. Suggestions for the product
design are made by conceptualizing the manufacturing process in great detail.
This ensures that the completed design is optimized for both performance and
manufacturing.
Engineering the Manufacturing Process
We are experts at developing the proper sequence to create a finished part
from a flat strip. This is the most critical step of the design process and
is paramount to a robust manufacturing process. It is also the most engineering
intensive and requires knowledge of many disciplines including material shearing,
material forming, material springback, die design, die materials, die build,
die maintenance, manufacturing set-up, manufacturing operation, product quality
control, secondary process operation and process capability. Since Meier Tool
